After more than a weeks’ wait, my mum is finally back from China. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out the way I expected it to. She didn’t receive the SMS that I sent while she was away, and I had to send it again. When she responded, the answer I got was a definite NO. She wasn’t going to let me use the car, according to her, times were different. Her job now requires her to use the car at any time of the day.

Disappointed? What do you think? Duh.

At least I was going to get the money from her for my school fees. But as usual she didn’t make things easy. She asked for an original copy of my results and verified documents for the payment.

Hello… I’m not in primary or secondary school, there isn’t such a thing as a report card/book anymore. Nowadays you go online, login your student ID and print out your results. Or you can go to the Students’ Services Counter, and ask them to print it out for you. Both ways you still just get a normal A4 paper with your results printed on it.

Anyway I did as she requested, in fact I did last week, before she mentioned it. I went to the Students’ Services Counter and asked for a copy for the payment scheme. At first, they asked me to go online to check. Well, everyone knows that, but my mum doesn’t want that. She wants something verified by the school. So I requested they print, stamp and sign it for me. After spending nearly 30mins there, I was only able to get the payment scheme for next term. I wasn’t able to get a printed, stamped and signed copy for the ‘Refer Papers’ payment. So that’s that.

See the trouble I had to go through? Sigh...
