How will a pulp result?
So was said, a man’s greed can lead him to do things beyond his personality. Thus, greed is so said the source of evil. But if one’s personality doesn’t contain greed, how would this greed lead him to do anything? Contradicting, am I not?
The reason for coming up with discussion is rather amusing, moments ago I was watching a series involving survival in a tough business driven environment. The only way to make a living is to actually surpass all your opponents to be able to reach the top. Rather realistic I must say, which lead me to think about my future. I believe this is going to be the situation when I actually go out to work in the society. You need to constantly strive to keep yourself alive.
In this episode, this particular guy character was dating his boss’s daughter. Needless say she is way beyond his leap. He’s dignity was tarnished by her father’s remark, suggesting that he was in this for the money. This character in the show appeared to have a promising future, previously. But due to circumstantial causes, at this point of time, it seems he took a turn for the worst.
In a short preview of the next episode, not only did he take a turn for the worst, he seemed to have been conceived by greed, leading him to wrongdoings. Instead of admitting to his wrong and facing the consequences of his wrongdoing, he made a far more unforgivable mistake by murdering the person who was going to expose him.
See what a moment of greed can lead to? For this case, greed alone doesn’t hold all credit to his destruction. Other factors also affected the eventual results. But if greed had not gotten the best of him, the first mistake wouldn’t have been made and the consequence would at worst be, the lost of pride.
There was other approach he could have chosen instead. Such as, striving harder to meet the mark set, or just swallowing his pride and pleasing his rich girlfriend and eventually leech on her wealth. The second choice to egoistic men would be a torture, but isn’t that the reason for tolerating her in the first place, knowing that your heart actually belongs to another? All in all, swallowing pride, would be far less immoral then betrayal and murder, am I right to say that? You cannot be sued for “fishing a big fish” but you can be for breaching commercial regulations and murder.
So this concludes my topic. Allowing a moment of greed to conceive your soul, would lead to self-destruction. Do not let this evil control you. If not, when you realize what you have done, you’d live in eternity of regret and remorse.
I go by the name Princessa (pronounced as Prin-ces-sa) online, you can also call me Sabrina or Princess Sabrina for that matter.
