I'm going to launch a couple of charity campaigns on behalf of my company and "personally", "out of goodwill", soon.

I was kinda browsing around for campaign ideas when I stumbled upon a site, Stone Hawk, running a drug addiction treatment program.

Well, the purpose of "my campaigns" is to help the needy, and classifications of "needy" are actually quite broad. For me, I would consider "helping" people with a drug addiction problem as "charity" as well or at least "voluntary work". Thus, meeting the "purpose" of my search, I decided to browse further and find out more information.

Basically, Stone Hawk is regarded the most successful drug addiction treatment program in Chicago, with a history of an astounding 76%+ success rate!

Kicking the habit is the easier part, keeping it off for good is the hard part. According to them, roughly 75% of their "graduates" leave clean, and probably stay clean, thereafter.

Unlike other treatment programs, the Stone Hawk treatment program uses a drug-free approach. In other words, they use no drugs or medication whatsoever, instead they use a combination of nutrition and nutritional supplements to heal the body and help eliminate the drug or alcohol addiction.

But before you get a chance to step into Stone Hawk, you'd have to first take your clothes off! Haha. Stunned by my remark? Let me explain.

Basically, every "individual" who enrolls for drug rehab at Stone Hawk will have to go through a full medical physical by a medical doctor. Thereafter, the M.D. must give their permission for the "student" to begin their drug addiction treatment program.

Like I said, before you step into Stone Hawk, you'd have to first take your clothes off. I'm right aren't I? Anyway, there's more...

Throughout the program, medical staff will monitor the "students" and provide health check-ups as and when. In Stone Hawk's prospective, getting healthy and fit is an important factor in staying clean.

A worthy effort. Amazing isn't it?

Apart from the somewhat bullet-proof drug addiction treatment program, staying at Stone Hawk can be "quite a treat" as well.

How so?? Well...

The Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center is located in south central Michigan, approximately 1-1/2 hours west of Detroit and 1-1/2 hours east of Chicago in Battle Creek, Michigan. It's facility is on 13.5 acres with over 350 feet of water frontage on private St. Mary's Lake.

Just look at the image, how peaceful it looks. Now do you understand what I mean by "quite a treat"?

You may think that this isn't exactly a crucial add-on. But think again. The environment that they rehab at may have critical effects to them. Putting them at a clean and peaceful environment, in some logic, their able to gain peacefulness, which somewhat allows their "unhealthy" thoughts to a rest.

Besides, individuals with drug addiction problem are not criminals, though some may resort to crime due to their addiction's monetary needs. Do they deserve to be dumped at a prison-life facility? I think not...

I've said my piece.

In case you didn't catch the links within my entry, this is the toll-free number to call, 1-888-227-9193. The other alternative is to fill up this online form.

If you have a problem, or know someone that does, don't wait till tomorrow, cause tomorrow never comes...
