I still remember when I first stepped into Secondary School ancient times, and owning a pager was like "WOW"! Shortly after, there was something called the "zone phone" (I think). It's like a cell phone but you can only make calls at designated areas where "the zone" is available. I had one of those, and after using it for "a while" I concluded that it was COMPLETELY CRAP. It's practically EASIER, not to mention cheaper, to find a pay phone then using the "zone phone". There are like SO FEW places that allows you to actually make a call. DUH!

Fortunately, that didn't last too long. Soon after cell phones were introduced. The "pioneers", like moi, had to suffer using the large and expensive ones with horrid reception! After the "beta period" the size started getting smaller, the reception improved tremendously and now cell phones are have become so damn "common", even a kid at his/her easiest prime would probably owns one. It's the "trend" or the so-called "technological age" I suppose.

This topic isn't about technology, so I'm not going into my "techno-logics". - Lame.

Anyway, if you noticed, nowadays, to attract subscribers, many companies would offer a "discounted" or even a free cell phone when you sign up for a new plan. But how often do you get a promotion that gives you a free cell phone for extending your contract?

Wirefly on the other hand, has this promotion. With every cell phone upgrade through Wirefly, you're entitled to a free cell phone (plus freebies like a bonus headset sometimes).

Consider it a scheme that tops the competition. In my prospective, whether scheme or not, as long as I don't lose out, and that's fine by me.
