Bid4Prizes is really one of its kind. It's a new take on online auction but no purchases necessary. It's kinda a weird method of bidding. Usually the highest bidder wins but for this case it's the lowest bid that wins the prize.
Let me explain a little. Basically to win a prize, you must have the LOWEST unique bid at the end of the game. The lowest unique bid for any prize starts at one penny, but if more than one person bids a penny, then that penny is no longer the lowest unique bid, and 2 cents is. If more than one person bids 2 cents then 3 cents is the next lowest unique bid. And so on...
First of all you need to register for an account with Bid4Prizes. After you have done that you may proceed to bidding. To bid, well... I think it'd be better if you read up for yourself. Spoon-feeding isn't my cup of tea.
Oh yes, just to let you know, it isn't that difficult but it isn't that simple either. Initially, I seriously had no idea how it works, but after reading up and "try and error"-ing a couple of times, I kinda got the hang of it. Quite fun in fact.
Check out the BMW 3 Series! This is THE prize I'd try my luck on. Second to it would be Philips 50" HDTV & Bose Surround Sound!
Attractive prizes isn't it?
Anyway, they are giving away prizes everyday! So you don't have to worry about not winning something today cause there's always tomorrow.

Online gambling is illegal in the US and this is definitely what this or other "lowest unique bid auctions" variations are (even if not yet busted by the authorities).
To be considered online gambling, you need 3 criterias:
1) A consideration. Here you pay to bid. It is like purchasing a lottery ticket and you are most likely to get nothing in exchange but 1 chance out of N to win.
2) A game of chance, which will determine who the winner is. While some may argue that bidding requires some skills and determinism, many states actually don't make any difference in their online gambling definition between skilled games and chance games. (Poker requires skills).
3) A Prize or the ability to win something of value. (or get nothing but wasting time and money).
This should be regulated as any other gambling business and not allowed to spread on greed and foolishness.
Many will pay to learn and eventually too much scam will kill this scam until a new variation or evolution of the scam comes around for new and fresh victims or short minded people.
Most scams are based on smart and sleek mechanisms. It does not make them right.
It reminds me of the guy that placed an ad in the news paper with:
How to become a millionaire?
Send 0.99 cents to receive the incredible secret. Success guaranteed or your money back.
I sent the 99 cents and received a letter saying: Just do like me! :-)
By the way, the stock market could fit the definition but at least it is supposed to be regulated. You pay, You Play and most of the time you loose.

You may want to check out a different outlook to a low price auction solution. I recently won an XBOX Elite for $3.41.

Very interesting...
Megacent.ru is an exact copy of a site I registrered on in December - Tribber.com, I think they are open to people world-wide....
That seems a little risky to just copy something like that, Dean...

i found a similar website called ulobid.com they also do unique lowest bid auctions. I read about them in the newspaper and also sell new products at a fraction of the cost.
Seems promising.

I think Wibii auctions are doing the exact same thing. Auctions won with the lowest unique bid.
They have a lot if brand new items for sale to, and it all costs a fraction of the retail prices.
I think your chances are actually better there!
