After reading Endoh's and Webzoomr's entries, it got me thinking.
Local web hosting companies definitely charge more as compared to those overseas. But to operate their business here in Singapore, it's also much more costly then anywhere else in the world. So, it's somewhat justifiable, I guess.
Anyway. After a day of thought, and some help from Endoh, I came up with two "Blog Hosting Package" for Ping.sg's Community ONLY?
Package One
Disk Space: 250MB
Half Yearly Fees: SG$36
Yearly Fees: SG$60
Monthly Network Transfer: 3GBPackage Two
Disk Space: 1000MB
Half Yearly Fees: SG$54
Yearly Fees: SG$90
Monthly Network Transfer: 10GBPackage Three
Disk Space: 2000MB
Half Yearly Fees: SG$72
Yearly Fees: SG$120
Monthly Network Transfer: 25GBPOP3 Email Accounts: It leeches off the total amount of Disk Space you have. So, yeah, it's up to you.
MySQL Database: Is 1 enough?* No Setup Fee. Just say the magic word "please", and I'll do it for you.
It's still open to counter offers.
The following, as far as I can remember, are the features of the control panel.
GUI Control Panel: Plesk
- Apache ASP Support
- SSI Support
- PHP Support
- CGI Support
- Perl Support
- Python Support
- FastCGI Support
- Miva Support
- Web Statistics
- Custom Error Documents
Please do let me know what you think?

250 actually isn't enough in my opinion, especially nowadays people uploading so much photographs. Perhaps 500 MB?
Would be cool if you can help install things like WordPress for a small additional fee.
I think that should be good for starting bloggers. ;)

Actually, I feel ok with a bandwidth limit. I have seen many webhosts giving unlimited bandwidth but truthfully, there will always be a limit. Imagine, a blogger sets a flash player with 10 songs, how much bandwidth that is going to cost you? Perhaps you can win out by giving higher limits of bandwidth instead of unlimited. For example, we see alot of 1GB to 3GB bandwidth packages, how about 10GB? Or even 30GB of bandwidth? For a normal blog I think that is alot.
It is very very very hard to hit 10GB of bandwidth unless one is streaming visuals or music. A friend used to stream her music and using quite a considerable amount of bandwidth until the company has to limit her. With the kind of pricing and the stuffs you offer, is it sufficient enough to keep the service moving? Can't sell too little, but can't over-sell too.
In reference to webspace, I am not sure if you could go higher. Long standing blogs would have had quite a considerable amount of usage. I don't know if a blogger is to import his/her past 3 years of posts & pictures, how much space would that take up already? And how much space remain for future use? I don't think a blogger wants to import 200MB of past data, and left with only 50MB for future use.
Just my opinion as a consumer, since I am not a web developer or IT professional.

Both packages are definitely good packages for normal bloggers. What CP will it be? Cpanel, Plesk, DA or others? For non-tech savvy users, it will be good if the CP can do auto install of WP and other blogging software as well as ability to do one-click upgrade from CP when a newer version come out.

I think you should cap the bandwidth.
I'm not saying that they are all going to be jerks, and misuse the bandwidth, but the possibilities are there.

Add a few more mySQL db.. 1 is not enough. Also u never mention what programming language u support? just php, asp or java? Any support for rails?
How about Technical Support? SLA? Response Time?
Seems like you are missing quite a bit of things here.

Well, though it isn't part of the package. I can still help provide a certain level of support.
