My dear monkey is ignoring me (plus giving me attitude) and I'm bored. To kill time, I started "blog surfing". Ironically, all I see is duplications of entries.

I seriously don't understand what's with everyone lately. All of a sudden it seems like they've all lost their individuality. Sigh.

Oh well. Since I'm already reading unworthy "stuff", I might as well read STOMP?

STOP!!!

If you're assuming I've lost my mind, and was referring to Star Blog. YOU ARE SOOOO WRONG! It's preposterous! I'm already bored. There isn't a need to further emphasize on my boredom.

Anyway. I came across this "article" under Motoring Goondus, posted on 23 Jul, 2007, titled "What an unreasonable driver!"

P/s: If you still haven't figured out which section I'm referring to, it's Singapore Seen.

It's quite a short article in fact. But I'm still going to summarize it using my own words.

Chevy turns left when he was clearly at the right turning lane and blames Toyota for not giving way to him.

After reading this "article", it reminded me of an incident that happened to me, on the road, some time back. And no, I didn't take any photos or blogged about it.

Perhaps it was my fault. But the reaction the couple had was seriously uncalled for. It's quite ridiculous. They reacted like some un-educated, extremely over-aged, hooligans. AND their kids were in the back seat!

I feel glad my mum is such a refined lady (in public at least).

This was what happened...

I was sending my sisters home (and staying over for the night), one late weekend evening.

Apparently the lane I was at allowed vehicles to go straight as well as turn. I was going straight, but seeing that the lane wasn't moving much, I decided to change to another lane.

I looked at my side mirror and turned to check my blind spot. Everything was clear so I accelerated and proceed to changing lanes.

Off went the horns! Loud... Sharp... And LONG...

It was as though I nearly drove INTO his car or something, which was clearly not the case.

I assumed that he wasn't please I cause him to somewhat slow down his speed. So, I apologized, with gestures, and continued driving.

It didn't seem like a big deal. But I guess I was wrong. How naive I was to think that he would just let matters rest.

He increased speed, drove side by side to my car, and continued horning.

I ignored his rude gestures and continued concentrating on the road. All of a sudden, he increased speed again, overtook my car, turned into my lane, and STOPPED!

Fortunately, my reflexes have yet to fail me. Immediately I stepped hard and emergency braked. Shocked and quite displeased. I forced myself to remain calm.

The driver and his wife stepped out of their car, walked over to mine, and started creating a scene.

* By the way, they blocked 2 lanes and not just one.

They went on and on about how inconsiderate I was for not signaling before I changed lanes, and that my sister showed them a middle finger. I felt my blood boiling but refused to lower to their level and argue back.

Fortunately, a SBS bus uncle, whose bus was blocked by their car, started horning and made gestures asking them to move. Seeing, or rather, hearing that more and more vehicles were starting to horn as well, they stopped screaming, took a picture of my car and my sister, and drove off.

I quite puzzled. Why the heck did they have to take my sister's photo?

Whatever.
