This has been like the longest week ever (with the "party" and everything else)! I barely had time to... I don't know... Do anything?

What the hell am I saying. So WRONG! Let me rephrase that - The issue with the unbearable length of this particular week is, in fact, due to the numerous "stuff" I had to deal with and the minimum time frame for it's completion. Worst (or perhaps best) part of it all, everything had to be concluded in a written entry (I do not just mean my blog).

Usually (but not in this case) that would be a good thing. It would means that I have tons to write about, and the entries would probably not be that boring (with my numerous complains). However, due to the constant amount of load I'm getting, I have wayyy too much to write and no time to start! Oh well...

Back to the Singapore Slingers vs. Melbourne Tigers, Part 2 (it's somewhat a continuous to "Part 1" in case you're wondering).

Like I mentioned, I tagged with my "slave" to attend the season's opening match.

I'm not really a basketball fanatic, in fact, the only reason why I was eager to go was because... There are actually people calling in to 93.3 to win the season tickets. It's kinda the "I have, you want" mentality. I'm lame. I know.

*Ahem* More confessions...

Let's be honest here, Singapore isn't exactly a well-renowned "sports-oriented" country. So yes, I didn't have my hopes up to the final results of the match. In fact, I expected much less. On the other hand... Having almost 90% of the team - non-Singaporean (outsourcing in Singapore is way too common), we might actually stand a chance?

Yes... Singapore is a multi-rational country, but who are we kidding? We all know that we don't seriously have genuine, in-house, talent when it comes to basketball.

Okay, perhaps we might have talents, but we definitely lose out on height? After all, the average Singaporean is like a head shorter then the tall, well-built, foreigners that we usually see (playing basketball) on screen.

Forsaking talent and height issues. Even if had both, would you rather be paid peanuts then actual $$$? Our budget for sports is just incomparable to... Well... Other countries (naming any might get my in trouble). But of course, that's my opinion. I'm like some mountain tortise anyway, don't always take my word for it.

Anyway...

Before the match started, Nicholas...

Being the gracious host that he is, was kind enough to brief us on what to expect.

1. He mentioned that during the previous season, we (as in Singapore Slingers) got trashed by the Melbourne Tigers. - *Ouch* that kinda got to me, a little. I already didn't have much of an expectation, but after hearing that, I became a little more judgmental.

2. To earn back the points that were already lost by the previous comment, he added something like "that was the old team and this was a brand new one". - Some light returned, but still quite dim.

In conclusion... It's more or less like - "watch and you will find out the results". Which, of course, I did.

To hell with that for now, it's time to meet the other bloggers!

I'm assuming no one knew (or cares) that I was somewhat invited, since I don't "participate" in that community anymore and I seldom comment just for the sake of commenting. In fact, I don't think Nicholas, the host, knew either.

It's no shocker. After all, who would expect the infamous "the(new)mediaslut" to extend the invitation to some unknown, unpopular, and unliked blogger... Me! Well, surprise, surprise! The world is full of unpredictable... "Stuff".

Anyhow...

Andrew...

And Imran...

Were there!

I haven't seen them for ages (except on MSN, of course)! The last time we met, was during the last casting for "Princessa and the Little Lamb". Let's not even begin talking about Lamb. We're not very "closed" anymore, and it may actually be a good thing.

I finally met Sheylara!

Two words - "She's pretty!" Okay, it should be three words, but who's counting.

She looks a little younger in her photos to be absolutely honest, still very pretty nonetheless. We were introduced, but didn't really start an actual conversation. Surprisingly, I was actually very much focusing on the match (I'm serious)! Oh yeah... I love her namecard! :P

Daphne...

And Arzhou...

Were there too.

I talked to Daphne, but not Arzhou. I'm not comfortable being too open with people that I assume to dislike me. And after the conflict with Uzyn, I'm assuming he isn't very happy with me.

Doesn't really matter though, love me or hate me, my life still goes on. The only pity is... No cakes for me. *Sigh*

Ahhh... Yes... The one and only Precious!

I saw her post about guessing her gender and the winner gets the tickets to watch this match (I didn't participate though). So, I'm assuming some of the bloggers here are the winners for this campaign?

In case you still don't know the answer...

*Ahem* Yes SHE is a GIRL (okay female, not really girl as in girl)!

I am getting lazy, so I'm rounding it up. No more irrelevant opinions about the remaining of the lot, just a group photo and remaining names (and/or nicks).

Left to Right: Princessa (Me), Precious, Daphne, Feng, I-can't-remember-his-name-but-not-a-blogger, Nicholas, Andy and Arzhou.

Okay, there is one more that I am actually going to "tag" with a description and an individual photo.

*Drums rolling* Yes! The one and only, person that somewhat offended my idol though it's like a past tenses issue...

EastCoastLife!

P/s: Photos are taken by Aaron and Adam Zhang!
