Being a multi-racial country, Singapore tends to put in quite a bit of effort during almost every festive season we can think of.

Probably that's one of the reasons why tourist still bother coming to visit? (I'm saying this in a humorous way.)

So much for that. Now back to my life!

Every year I'd make some plans to not be physically unavailable during Chinese New Year so I wouldn't have to withstand un-necessary snobbishness from the all and might relatives, of which my mum likes to call, family.

Seriously. It can be quite insufferable sometimes, them being rich, big house, big car and everything else that comes with it.

I'm a Princess, so to speak, but their like the evil whatever in every fairy tale you can think of.

Why put myself through all that when I'll still get the 'ang bao' (which is the highlights of it all) whether I turn up or not?

Oh yeah.

One more reason why I think my mum is outta her mind...

Have I ever mentioned that fact that my mum places a photo of her sister's family at our display cabinet,

instead of ours! Geez.

Can you believe that? It's sooo WRONG! I mean who does that kinda thing?

(Wait a minute, I didn't mention she's outta her mind earlier on... Shit!)

Anyway.

My mum sent me an SMS (my mum happens to be a smarty pants, sad but true) just now with the exact words:

Remember to come back for dinner

She seriously wants me back for, supposedly, reunion dinner?

Hmmm... I wonder what's up her sleeves.

I haven't exactly replied yet, but I guess, if there aren't any other plans, I'll just go along with it. After all, it's just our own family dinner, not the whole auntie-uncle-cousin-etc gathering. How bad can it get?

Anyhow.

Just to add some spirit to the festive season here something I saw at FoxTwo's blog:
