Advertlets: What's with the lag?
Geez. What's with the lag anyway? Overload of users perhaps?
Okay. Here's the thing.
I have 2 Advertlets placements in my blog, one on top of the content portion and one at the right side bar.
Top of the content portion.
Today when I viewed my site I starting noticing the lag.
The page took like FOREVER (exaggerated of course) to load. At first I was evaluating the possible reasons why this is happening.
Could it be my host?
Could it be my connection?
And it all became clear.
It's the Advertlets placement that is causing the 'slowness' of the loading.
To confirm that, I visited Advertlets' website. And as expected, it was lagging as well.
Since it's all clear. I decided to relocate the placement from top to the bottom.
Bottom of the content portion.
And, well... It worked!
(You don't need a genius to know that right?)
The loading of the page was almost instant (exaggerating again).
Duh.
Com'on already. Do something about it peeps?

Hi Sabrina!
From where I am, Advertlets took about 1.1 seconds to load on your blog. Using this tool to test:

Please drop me an e-mail with the load time for the Advertlets code, thanks! Your header(.swf) takes about 15.8 seconds to load from here, so I guess load times are different depending on where you're accessing from.
Recently there's been quite an increase in traffic from Singapore, and it looks like we have to increase our capacity to meet further demand. We did upgrad our bandwidth for Singapore a week back, looks like we need to upgrade it again :) You should see some improvement in loading time later this week, cheers!
