The last couple of days something weird happened. Apparently I'm not "ping friendly" anymore?
Could I have done something to screw up the my blog system or it just basically hates me? I don't know.
What I do know is, for the last couple of days, every single time I want to 'ping' at 'Ping' (as in Ping.sg), it's frustrating.
I run 2 kinds of systems, one - Drupal, the other - WordPress. Both should automatically 'ping' and reflect my entries at 'Ping'. However, it isn't working like it used to anymore.
Apparently the 'automation' of it has failed miserably, and the manual one kinda depends on luck?
When my luck is good, it works like a charm. Otherwise I either can't update, or it takes forever.
This is what's happening.
The other day, as usual, I wrote in my blog, published, then went to sleep. In the morning I noticed the entry didn't reflect in my user page.
I didn't really think much of it at first so I changed the timestamp and did a manual 'ping' instead.
Sad to say, it didn't work.
Being the impatient brat I am, I started rapidly clicking on the update button, until I notice red words on top of the page saying something like "I already updated a while ago".
It kinda means I'm spamming I guess. So I stopped. But when my updates still didn't reflect, I said to myself, "to hell with it", and stomped to the kitchen to grab a snack.
Later, when I returned, I refresh the page and... Poof! There it was! After 14 minutes?!
*Ouch* Boohoo for me.
I don't know why, but I think it's only me. So now, should I bother or should I not?
Maybe I should just learn to be more patient...

I read your article here and found it confusing. First of all, with all the traffic on the web and on a server, one may not see an update immediately, pending on what dork did the programming of the site.
Perhaps you should read this article on pinging. "UNABLE TO PING?"
It is very informative for troubleshooting.
