Don't get my title? Let me explain...

"Your money is my money"

When you pay your PacNet bill, you take out money from your own pocket and deposit it into PacNet's pocket (or rather corporate account), thus, your money becomes PacNet's money.

As for,

"that's it."

Well, isn't Jean (aka Simplyjean)'s headline 'topic' at Tomorrow.sg enough to justify that?

"PacNet asked me to go suck thumb after advanced payment was made"

Do I really care about this issue to begin with? (Based on the headline title alone of course.)

To be really honest - Not at all.

Firstly, I'm not a PacNet user. Secondly, at the end of the day they'd probably compensate for the mistake they've made. (That's before I read her whole entry that is.)

I mean it's obvious it's their mistake, after all -

Well, I got one of their "portable MP3 speakers" for making a year's advanced payment.

Can't run from that eh?

Apparently that is sooo NOT the case?

They said that I only made a payment of S$25.00 in June and none of the S$100++ payment that I made was reflected in their system.

If you have a receipt everything is solved. That's kinda why I always keep receipts, bad experience.

Firstly, I didn't check the following month's bill to make sure that the payment was reflected. This was because I had made advanced payments to PacNet in previous years (I had been with PacNet since it was "TechNet times"). Secondly, I should have kept the receipt. So now, I can only sit back and suck thumb.

Too bad you don't have my sister. Ikea supposedly has this rule that states items assembled cannot be refunded or something. Well, guess what she did?

Attempts to speak to their manager was futile and the customer service officer was totally not helpful except that "she'd get back to me again".

I have nothing to say about the manager. As a personnel with higher-level-authority, they should be more diligent in their work?

Not usually the case though, after all we're all just humans and lazy bums.

As for the customer service officer...

Well, I've done customer service before and it's really not that easy. With that kind pay and that kind of nonsense you HAVE to tolerate all day long, what else can she say apart from "she'll get back to you?"

I mean, until today, which is like 2 months already, I still haven't gotten response from Standard Chartered about my cheque book.

Which reminds me... I should give them a call again, I guess.

So now, it seems like my previous payment had been "forfeited" in lieu of my "sucker" loyalty to PacNet and I have no choice but to fork out more money to prevent legal actions being taken against me. Is there anything else I can do?

Yes. Refuse to pay like what my mum usually does. Thereafter, make a lot of noise until they do something about it. Eventually they'd just compensate you for making a huge mistake.

Oh and if it's me, to end it with a spice of drama, I'll say a lot rubbish and appear to be hurt by everything, thus, terminate their services after they have gone through all that trouble. :)
