Have I mentioned that my mum has been in the insurance line for like... The whole of my life?
In other words, Insurance has somewhat "provided" for us, in terms of my mum's source of income, which is what we "live on".
Though saying that, I am not an Insurance Agent and will probably NOT choose that career path, EVER!
Teddybear's friend, Gavin, on the other hand, decided to take that path long before he even graduated from Uni. (NTU if I've not mistaken. And no, he isn't a business student at all.)
Anyway.
For the past 2 weeks or so, we, Teddybear and myself,
have been having meet-ups, and will probably sign either a savings-investment, savings, health, life or even home insurance, though not likely, plan with him?
In fact, Teddybear has already signed up for one health insurance and one savings insurance plan.
(He's really sincere, but honestly... Not the best sales person I've ever met though. A little tense and waaay too formal.)
Anyhow. I'm sooo off my point.
The thing about Insurance is that, it's something YOU HAVE TO GET IT!
It's a form of security at almost any or ever level.
Let me go through a couple of the commonly known Insurances:
Life Insurance or life assurance is a contract between the policy owner and the insurer, where the insurer agrees to pay a sum of money upon the occurrence of the insured individual's or individuals' death. In return, the policy owner agrees to pay a stipulated amount called a premium at regular intervals or in lump sums (so-called "paid up" insurance).
Health Insurance is generally used to describe a form of insurance that pays for medical expenses. It is sometimes used more broadly to include insurance covering disability or long-term nursing or custodial care needs. It may be provided through a government-sponsored social insurance program, or from private insurance companies. It may be purchased on a group basis (e.g., by a firm to cover its employees) or purchased by individual consumers.
In each case, the covered groups or individuals pay premiums or taxes to help protect themselves from high or unexpected health care expenses. Similar benefits paying for medical expenses may also be provided through social welfare programs funded by the government.
Home Insurance, also commonly called hazard insurance or homeowners insurance, is the type of property insurance that covers private homes.
It is an insurance policy that combines various personal insurance protections, which can include losses occurring to one's home, its contents, loss of its use (additional living expenses), or loss of other personal possessions of the homeowner, as well as liability insurance for accidents that may happen at the home.
