This is what I thought of when I first heard about "Rednano":
(I'll still pick a pink ipod nano anyday, anytime.)
But apparently, Apple product, it is not.
Hear ye! Hear ye!
Singapore finally has its own search engine! :)
Although Google is kinda playing me like a puppet with the whole PageRank thingy, but still... You know... Yeah.
Anyhow.
I'm not quite sure what I think of this whole Rednano.sg thingy yet. And since I can't decide to be supportive or not, I had to seek the views of one closest to me.
And the victim you ask?
Wahahaha. Thy Teddybear of HereWithDerek.com.
Let's all take a glimpse of the Rednano:

Rednano - Singapore Press Holdings Search Engine
What do you think?
Well, for Teddybear, when I asked for his opinion, following his maiden voyage into the domain, he's only response was:
Reminds me of Google.
Short and sweet.
And how true it was.
A response it may be, sadly, that's not even close to satisfying my thirst in annoying the hell outta him.
For it has been decided, thus, it shall be done.
I press forward on this topic, insisting for a concrete opinion and...
"Hey Sabbybear, I'm on top!" said Teddybear.
And by "on top" he meant, when he searched the work "derek" at Rednano.sg, HereWithDerek.com is apparently at the top of the list.
"I like" said Teddybear.

I feel RedNano is just another crap project like Mocca.
Apparently, RedNano requires many editors to filter away the unwanted results (foreign sites/irrelevant sites picked up by their spiders/robots) before placing them into the search index for people to search.
Therefore, it's safe to say that the search engine is only as updated as how fast the editors are doing their filtering job.
So if you want the updated/latest search results, use Google or Google.com.sg for more relevant sg search.
