American Idol: DAVID COOK

He is a 25 year old good looking guy from Blue Springs, Mo. After graduating from Central Missouri State University with a degree in graphic design, he brought his aspiring music career to Tulsa. His friend's from Tulsa believed that even he graduated from college; he would always be a performing artist.

David Cook auditioned for American Idol Season 7 in Omaha, Nebraska. He actually does not have any plans of trying, he just supported his brother Andrew and then when he gets there, he decided to try it for himself. He made a great performance singing Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer".

And for another Hollywood audition, he performed Bryan Adams "Everything I do, I do it for you" while playing an acoustic guitar. Next, he performed "I'll Be" of Edwin McCain.

After singing Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" on American Idol, David got lots of great comments. In fact, I'm sure a lot can never forget his performance.

David Cook's song serves as a tribute for his brother Adam, who is fighting from cancer which has also affected his spine.

David was holding his tears at the time he was singing and looked at his brother at the audience area.

Here are the judges comments after his performance:

"You're ready to make an album, you're a hot recording artist" - Randy Jackson

"That was pretty awesome. That song could be a movie soundtrack right now. Really, really good." - Paula Abdul

"It was original, it was daring and this is a sign of a great potential artist–someone who takes risks." - Simon Cowell
