We've all heard of the term "user generated content". It basically defines content generated by the users or simply what we know as - blogging.

The concept for Blogger's Treat revolves not only around "user generated content" but "user-user generated content". How so, you ask?

I'm the host of Blogger's Treat, and well, although I would gladly be the star of the show, the true star is in fact the guest that have kindly spared their time to help introduce and star in the short 8-10 minutes video clip.

(Boohoo for me.)

Let's go a little further back into time.

I'm sure most of you have not heard of my, or rather our previous "noob-ish" production - Princessa and the Little Lamb.

That was the first "user-end video production" that Aaron came to be with. And to be absolutely honest, I felt more like a star back then, considering the "Little Lamb" loved to lose focus and speak with a himbo-lish accent.

Anyhow.

The production was based on user content generated at Ping.sg. In other words, it was still... User generated. And we were more like narrators. (I'm not quite sure if I'm making much sense here.)

It was going quite well to a certain point, hitting like over a thousand viewers, but all good things come to an end I guess.

Sadly, the "Little Lamb" decided to drop outta "the show" and move on to what matters more in life - money, career and girlfriend.

And that was that. The end.

After "Princessa and the Little Lamb", Aaron started conceptualizing new and more innovative ideas, but at the end of the day... Nothing concreted surfaced. (Plus, we seriously lack the equipment.)

A month of so back, during a Yebber event, someone said something that somewhat gave us some kind of inspiration.

I can't remember who it was but someone said something like "bloggers eat cold food" - with all the photo taking before each and every of their meals.

(Aaron was there too.)

This comment somewhat hit Aaron hard on the head. (Thank god he didn't faint, I definitely do not want to be the one to catch him. Even if I wanted to... I doubt I can.)

The idea of Blogger's Treat started to formulate and with the engagement of Miccheng - Podfire, we had the equipment to carry it out.

Everything sounded great, but something was still missing - Innovation.

It's just waaay to common for people to pull out a video camera and start blabbering on non-stop about how wonderful or unbearable a meal can be. It's nothing special. In fact, apart from having more people involved, the quality of the video might be worst off compared to those of which produced by the main stream media.

After a night of argument, and a really intensive one I'd have to admit, I was removed from being the star to becoming just the "host" with a cute animated princess-fairy paper attached to a mic. In other words,

"don't look at me, look at the guest and the food!"

(Again. Boohoo for me. Or rather, this is the first boohoo.)

Anyhow.

The actual birth of Blogger's Treat came about when Aaron came up with...

"Hey, why not invite bloggers on the show and instead of the common host bring guest around, let the guest bring the host around?"

I think it's because - there was never a meal, every since we've known each other till now, that I actually went about recommending a place, or any place for that matter of fact. And, of course, the fact that he wanted interactivity from the audience kinda played a role in the whole concept as well.

So there you have it - Aaron's User-User Generated Content (user - me, user - guest, generated content) that brought the birth of Blogger's Treat to... Whomever that is interested in watching the clip, and of course, whomever that is interested in staring in it!

Is there more to it?
