Lately Paris Hilton is kinda becoming my idol and the reason for it is seriously lame.

Here's the deal... I don't fancy the fact that she is a celebrity or that she is pretty. But the fact that she is a socialite, which is my new ambition, I'm filled with nothing but envy.

I guess it's due to the fact I don't have a job and everything, I'm starting to lose my aim in life. I'd say that "I don't know what I wanna do when I grow up" but the fact is, I am grown up. So... Yeah...

(Come to think of it, probably that's why I call myself a Princess... Hmmm...)

Anyhow.

I don't know how it came about, but I had this argument with Gavin about the whole "I wanna be a socialite" thingy.

I'm a dreamer no doubt, but I still accept reality. I know that no matter how I'm gonna beg and plead to be a socialite, there is no way it's ever gonna happen. It's in the blood, and I do mean that literally. (Unless Mr Ong Beng Seng decides to adopt me as his god-daughter or something.)

Anyhow.

I was saying something like "It's in the blood", "if only I was Paris Hilton" and I somewhat defined my version of what a socialite should be - born rich, goes to top tier parties and so on so forth.

Apparently Gavin doesn't see eye to eye with me.

He explains that Paris Hilton isn't the "blue blood richie rich", she's kinda like a "Nouveau Riche", which is French for "new rich" or "new money" - refers to a person who has acquired considerable wealth within his or her generation.

It's a whole load of stuff that I can barely understand and I certainly couldn't care less. I mean, new money, old money, as long as it's money... Do you really care if it's new or old?

Anyway.

The whole socialite thingy and the whole "Nouveau Riche" thingy somewhat got to me. So I kinda searched about it online and well... Haha... I found something kinda interesting.

According to CNNMoney.com, an article has uncovered a dozen of the most promising new ventures for determined American entrepreneurs. A few of these ventures discuss individuals who are now "Nouveau Riche" because of their entrepreneurial ideas!

Now for the funny part...

Apparently there is now a company called, Nouveau Riche University, that helps people become "Nouveau Riche" too!

I mean... Nouveau Riche University? God... That's really something I wanna sign up! (I wonder how much the enrollment fees cost...)

I wanna be a socialite and if being an entrepreneur gives me that opportunity... I will erm... Try my best?
