No matter how hard I try, I still end up late for "events".

Sleeping at 4am in the morning and waking up at 8 kinda called for an afternoon nap, which unfortunately happened and I was... LATE for an "exclusive" visit to the Swedish Ambassador's Residence.

Thank god the practice of allowing the early birds to "mingle around while waiting for rest of the guest to arrive" for the first hour was still in style. Otherwise, I can't imagine walking in while the dancers were in the midst of their performance.

Enough of my whining. I made it in time - that's that.

(Did I mention it's a total b*tch to find a parking space there? Geez.)

Anyhow.

The house looked rather impressive, from the outside at least. But like an old saying goes... "Never judge a book by its cover." (I've done enough of that lately.) Who knows what I'd find on the inside. (I'm just beating around the bush. No actual point here.)

So... Hmmm... Minimum parking "lots"... Nice house...

And a "welcoming committee"? Haha. I wish.

No. They're not the "welcome committee", well... Not exactly at least. Their roles were to invite the guests but they weren't posing for the guests, instead they were posing for the... Photographer? *Exposed*

Nonetheless, this does make an excellent image for a "welcoming committee", doesn't it?

*Ahem* I spy with my little eye...

Jean on the left, Michael (from Eastwest) on the right.

Jean talking to an "ang moh" guy! Boyfriend candidate? (Kidding again.)

Yeah, as I was saying (or typing), Jean was the first familiar blogger face of the evening, and apparently the last as well.

I was expecting to see Rinaz, Daphne and Peggy, but I guess they didn't make it. Oh well.

Shortly after my arrival, the event kicked off. (Perhaps they were waiting for me? Wahahahaha.)

The first to take the "stage" was Sheldon (staged name), the butler (staged occupation).

(He is actually quite cute by the way.)

After his well rehearsed (overly dramatic) jabbering introduction, he presented and passed the mic over to Mr. Pär Ahlberger, the Swedish Ambassador.

Next on the list, and one that we definitely couldn't miss out, came Mr. Suresh Balan, President Asia Pacific, Middle-East & Africa, Electrolux Floorcare and Small Appliances. (God that's such a long title.)

What's next?

Here came the unveiling of Electrolux Ergorapido Cyclonic 2in1 by the group of dancers I mentioned earlier.

Frankly speaking, the whole wiggling around, pretending to be vacuum cleaners, was kinda interesting. However, the dance itself was less than impressive.

Oh well. Nothing is prefect eh?

To end the evening...

The last speech of the day was made by Audrey Yeo, Regional Product Manager, Asia-Pacific, Middle-East & Africa, Electrolux Floorcare and Light Appliances. (Gosh. Another long title.)

I'll have to say that out of the 4 speeches so far, hers definitely came in last - and it wasn't because she was on the last spot.

Don't worry too much Audrey, not everyone's a toastmaster?

Woohoo! Finally... Playtime people!

What can I say, the best part of the evening, during product launches that is, playtime specials with the product itself is always what I most eagerly anticipate.

Oh by the way...

In case you're interested to know, the new model of Ergorapido Cyclonic 2n1 comes in 3 new colours:

Magenta - are you daring, passionate, bursting with vibrant energy, desire, and flamboyance?

Tangerine - does your beauty demand attention? Are you daring, fresh, exude healthiness, playfulness, and fun?

Diamond Sand – do you want to enjoy the good life, luxury, wealth, joy and peace?

Magenta is my favorite simply because it's the closest to pink! ;x

Where was I? Oh yeah.

This is totally important as well...

Photo session!

How can you go for an event and not take photos? That is like sooo totally WRONG.

Anyhow.

I'll end this here and tell you more after I tear apart the press kit and my extremely oversized goodie bag?
