A notice at Anna's blogshop has indicated that she no longer sells contact lenses:

* I will also no longer be selling contact lenses anymore, nope, not even overseas. You see, out of the blue, MOH decided to do something about this harmless business when there are even worse issues causing us major health problems. I shall not go any further or it might clash with another law ...
- I still have a whole lot of instocks and hope to clear them asap.

Well now, it wouldn't really make any sense to do an advertorial for contact lenses if she isn't selling them anymore, right? So, to thank her for her generosity and patience, I am taking the liberty of just blogging about our encounter/experience.

The thing that I fear most about blogshops is the delivery period. Most blogshops, when you make a purchase, you need to pay upfront first. After payment, you wait for a period of time before the goods are delivered - like eBay, but no recommendations points to look at.

I have trust issues. Unless recommended by a close friend, I wouldn't leap into something I wasn't sure about.

When Anna first contacted me, months ago, I was a little surprised. I don't blog much about beauty or fashion, so getting advertorials relating to these are pretty rare.

Blogshops that sell contact lenses are pretty common. In fact, Peggy sells them too. Everyone sells Geo lenses, but Anna's shop is really a bargain. Her prices are a steal.

I took up her offer - very generous one really. Thereafter, I waited patiently for the contact lenses to arrive.

For a while, I didn't hear from Anna. I had a feeling that I was taken for a ride again. But just before the holidays, Anna dropped me an email to inform me that the contact lenses have arrived!

Anyway. Throughout my "blogging career" I have gotten numerous advertorial offers. I find it quite annoying when one request for pricing and stats then disappears after you provide them with it. They don't even bother responding to retract their offer - they just disappear.

Anna on the other hand, has been very polite. Although she didn't deliver the full package as per agreed. She didn't go awol on me. And, she has never pressured for the write-up, which I feel absolutely guilty about.

In conclusion, my experience with http://anna-blogshop.blogspot.com has been a delightful one. If one is willing to pay and still provide such services, I'm sure one would be a much better host when paid.
