Day one was pretty short considering I only arrived at Perth at about 10.45pm. Day two on the other hand was a really long day that started at like 9+am in the morning even though I slept at like 3+am (spent most of the time in the room chatting online though)?

Before I go into that...

They have cops riding HORSES here! Nice! Hehe.

To start off day two, we went to Curtin University at like 10am in the morning - Saturday morning. It's really different from Singapore; basically it's like a dead zone. No one goes to school on Saturdays.

Walked around, took some photos (with me in it for once) and heading out for "breakfast". It was 11+am by then. I would really love to study at Perth; it is sooo peaceful, well at least it appears to be from where I was looking. Anyway.

Check out breakfast!

It was sooo close to lunch time so we kinda decided to not eat and just have coffee instead. Want to know what we had for lunch? Keep on reading...

The waiter was pretty cute, so I kinda used my friend as an excuse and snapped a shoot of the waiter.

Obviously I took a photo of my friend too. It only made sense.

Now imagine this... If this is the guy that waits on you at a cafe, can you imagine those that are out on the streets? I wouldn't say they're cuter but yeah, the folks here are... Well, they have the height, that's for sure.

Enough about boys lets talk about Perth! Western Australia is far from what I've imagined. For starters, considering that it's close to winter, it really wasn't that cold at all. I'm wearing the same kinda of clothing I wore back in Singapore. And no, I'm not freezing my ass off.

The wind makes it slightly chilly but the sun keeps the warmth. Without the humidity experienced in Singapore, it's the perfect weather. Well, for me at least.

Robin was saying that I was born in the wrong country. For a person that spends all her life in a tropical island, it's surprising that I'm able to adapt so well to the weather here. He's only saying that because he didn't know that I spend the first part of my life in a ice-skating rink. It's really nothing to do with my adaptability. I was well-trained - where there's ice, it can't be warm. I'm a winter sports person.

By the way, if you happen to be traveling to Perth (or Australia for that matter of fact) I think it's best to get a pre-paid SIM card instead of using roaming. The charges for roaming is really expensive. Pre-paid is much more worth it. Come to think of it, every country is the same. Hurhur.

I got the one from Optus (mine is AUD30), they have this data plan thingie which ROX! Unfortunately, they don't have the settings for HTC Magic -_-" ... So I still can't surf the Internet.

Now, the lunch place was pretty close to where we had "breakfast" or rather coffee. But we still had to drive and that took like 15 minutes odd. Perth is really not small at all.

At the harbour you could see fishing boats, quite a fair number of them really.

And as expected, we had seafood! Surprise, surprise ;x !

For a not-so-connected country compared to Japan or Singapore, this piece of device they use at the restaurant was pretty high-tech.

How it works is that the light will start blinking and you'll hear a voice telling you that your food is ready. It's like a walkie-talkie really. Okay, so it's not really that high-tech, but it works.

Things here are pretty much self-service. when the device does it's trick, you'd have to make your way back to collect your food.

I generally don't fancy fish and chips but since it was sooo "highly recommended" I gave it a go. Pretty disappointed really.

I'll be honest here, the food wasn't that great and the price was perhaps double (or more) compared to Singapore. Come to think of it, everything here that's consumed is more expensive compared to Singapore. And that is why, if I decide to migrate here, I might as just open a Asian cuisine restaurant - business would flourish.

Yes, yes. How can I not take photos eh ;x ?

What's next on the schedule? Well... You'll have to wait for part II.

PS: Photos will be uploaded when I get back to Singapore. I have to wake up like 4am in the morning for a 4-5 hours drive to the country so... You get the drift.

PPS: Me is PRO! I can still ice-skate pretty well after sooo many years of NOT skating.
