It was past noon by the time I got out of bed. As I looked out my window I could feel the rays of the sun literally burning my eyes. It's hard to keep your eyes open when you just got out of bed. The eyes just can't seem to adjust from darkness to light quickly enough.

It's been ages since I was able to sleep in, late that is. My schedule is pretty flexible but I always seem to be in somewhat of a mad rush. I reckon I lack the proper knowledge of time management. Not something ideal for someone like me.

After a couple of minutes of getting used to, my eyes adjusted, the engine of my brain started running and I was in panicky mode once again.

Suddenly bits and pieces of my conversation with Peggy from the night before hit me. I was suppose to meet her and June for lunch! Guess that explains the miss calls and the BB IM (BlackBerry Instant Messenger) message from June.

There was no question to it, lunch was out of the question let alone talk about breakfast. Still, to achieve a "balance diet" I had to have something to eat before I start my mad-rush-day once again.

Lunch = A glass of ice milo, hot tea and pieces of instant-made Teriyaki chicken.

It's becoming a routine really.

I know what you're thinking. Two drinks and one dish with no rice or bread!? What kind of meal is that? Well, the milo is to keep my bubbly and cheerful throughout the day. The food is to avoid gastric. The tea is supposedly useful to one that wishes to lose weight - it's not really the normal kind of tea. But no, it wasn't slimming tea either.

*Ring, ring* Yes, my mobile phone's ring-tone is similar to that of my home phone. It is time for me to download new ring-tones. In fact, it is way overdue.

The phone rang and to my surprise the caller was Sadaf from XPR, one of my favourite Public Relation companies - I haven't heard from her in a while so it came as a surprise. Now, the purpose of the call was a good one. It was to inform me that tomorrow they (and by they I mean XPR on behalf of LG) will be switching my dis-functional LG GM730 Smartphone with a functional one! Hurray! Joy to the world!

Seriously, how does one review a mobile phone if the phone isn't able to work like it is suppose to? A smartphone with no WiFi capability - something new wouldn't you say? But I don't blame them for it, after all pre-manufactured units are bound to have defects. That's why it is pre-manufactured. Which reminds me, I have a Yahoo Mobile article way overdue. I should really get to it soon.

*Ring, ring* The phone rang once again. This time round it wasn't a "business" call, Pegs was on the other end of the line... And there goes the rest of my day.

Before I got my lazy butt off the couch and into the bathroom, I decided I should at least update one entry in my blog and perhaps another article in SauceINK.com. An "online magazine" with no constant updates is bound to fall short to its competitors, no?

Running through the content administrative area, I discovered two pending-publish articles - one from Pegs. And that is why you don't see my byline today - two pending-publish articles. I wrote something of course, but decided to set-to-publish tomorrow instead - just in case I get carried away with the stuff I need to do - photoshoot and Zouk?

I'm starting to wonder am I simply the laziest Editor in the world or I simply give the Writers/Editors way too much credit? Apart from formatting their work I hardly ever correct anything - until someone spots and tells me the mistakes. Come to think of it, who is correcting mine? Tsk.

*Ring, ring* Another phone call. It was Priss! I haven't heard from her in a while - she was in KL, Malaysia. Dinner sounded just about right, it was way past 4pm already.

At 5.45pm I was still slogging away with photo-editing. I was bound to be late, or so I thought. I didn't have time to doll up at all - grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of milk-coloured pants and off I went - can't remember the time I actually left the house really.

*Ring, ring* A number I wasn't familiar with. Apparently it's the agency calling to ask me to go for some kind of auditioning - which I obviously wouldn't get in. The appointment was set at 2pm. Hopefully by then we would have wrapped up the photoshoot. Then again, how could we not?

While driving on the express way Priss called for the third time. Twice I wasn't able to pick up, the traffic had forbidden me to, plus my bag was a little hard to reach then. Picking up the call, fearful that she was going to scream at me for making her wait, multiple excuses came to mind. Before I could start making the excuses she came clean and said she was still at Orchard. *Phew*

By 7.30pm (or so) we were both chatting away at Pegs' shop. Thereafter we went over to the new shopping centre beside us for dinner - I had a cup of hot green tea while Priss indulged herself in some Japanese pancake thingie.

After the meal (and some chit-chat), Priss took a bus home and I returned to accompany Pegs once again. For about an hour or so at max.

The night was a pleasant one, very much enjoyable in fact. And the day ended with me only reaching home close to 2am.

"A late start with a late end."
