It's been a tiresome two weeks; rushing design, articles and school assignment as well as project. Finally, all has came to an end (that said, exams are in three weeks time) and I'm able to sit down and construct this entry that I should have written quite a while back.

It came as a surprise when I received the invitation to the grand opening of The Blog Shop a couple of weeks back.

As I dragged my sorry butt outta bed and got dress... that's when I realised I had nothing new to wear for the occasion! Every piece I owned was worn at least once.
A little displeased with myself, I randomly picked something up, got dressed, and made my way down to Haji Lane.
Traffic was bad; parking was worst! Fortunately, lady luck was on my side. After making just two rounds around the block, I managed to find a spot that was only one lane away - thank god I could park parallel.
Before I even got out of the car, I was already feeling the heat. A black glittery dress with slightly below knee length boots, wasn't exactly the ideal outfit in such a humid weather.
As I walked over to the lane, I notice a flea market - which kinda made matters worst. The weather was against me and the crowd really didn't help at all. Hot, sweating and hungry. I strangled through the crowded lane and made my way to the shop.

I own a blogshop but I'm not really a big fan of online shopping (right now that is). The only "blogshop clothes" I had was from Pegs' shop, which wasn't exactly a blogshop anymore since she started retailing at Bugis Village. In other words, it wasn't exactly online shopping.
I'm open to online purchasing, in fact, I use to eBay quite a bit, but... well... when it comes to apparel, let's just say my oversized body really didn't help with options. Most clothes just don't fit my build (or at all, for that matter) and I have this impression that clothes from blogshops were kinda tiny. I was wrong of course.
Entering the shop I saw Pegs, June and Winnie.

They were a little caught up with the quirky looking Lomo cameras so I went ahead and looked for nadnut (who was also invited) instead. By then (I was late as usual), she was about to leave, so we didn't manage to catch up, much.
The shop was really neat - not as in tidy but as in kinda kewl. The ground floor was decked out to showcase the accessories such as caps, handcrafted jewellery and the Lomo cameras. And the second floor was a shopaholic paradise with rail after rail of apparel.

I was given a SGD200 voucher to purchase items. Pegs and June suggested I should get a Lomo camera, but I wasn't too keen (regretting that decision now). The Lomo cameras were really cute but I kinda liked my camera, which was cute too! I decided to buy clothes - I have no new dresses in my wardrobe, which was really depressing.
With help from Peggy, I ended up with a bag full of clothes - totally love the jacket and sunglasses.
After this experience I realised that clothes from blogshops were not that tiny, many actually fit pretty well - most were free size.
Spending a couple of hours at the shop, together with Pegs, June and Winnie, we thanked the owners and went on our way.
