These days blogging isn't about sitting down at a computer/notebook and typing down ones' thoughts. These days it's about interactivity, communication. It is no longer a journal of ones' thoughts and memories, it's about being part of the world around you.

In fact, blogging isn't just writing on a "blog" anymore - there's Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, and etc. And that's where blogging's ideal mobile phones come in.

Blogging is used as somewhat a tool to broadcast information out in the quickest manner possible. Entries need not be long, simply 140 characters and talk about that latest celebrity gossip, natural disaster and more, can be told to the next ten to a million other people. But like paper and pen, you need "something" to note it down and transmit it to the world.

Sub-notebooks (or as most would call it, netbooks) are pretty portable, handy to a certain extend. But it can never beat the availability and portability of a mobile phone.

The search for blogging's ideal mobile phone...

The year alone I've attended many-many-many mobile phone launches. But out of the many so far, the following is my personal preference (based on what I've tested at least).

The BlackBerry Bold

Many refer to the phone as "the king of emails". That's basically how they made their name in the mobile industry. Traditionally you'll see businessmen/women carrying them about. But these days, BlackBerry doesn't only appeal to the business crowd, I for one am one good example.

The QWERTY keyboard is a major plus point. Girls go for manicure and manicure looks prettier on long nails. On a touch-screen mobile phone, it's just difficult.

Appearance wise, after a make-over, it's really-really pretty.

The only downside would probably be the screen-size and camera's megapixel.

The HTC Dream

I've been a big fan of Android for the longest period ever. Since it's launch earlier this year, I've been drooling over it. And well, HTC happened to be the only manufacturer with that platform, until recently that is.

Comparing the HTC Dream to the HTC Magic, the Magic is perhaps much prettier. The Dream is a little bulky but the QWERTY keyboard helped tip the scale, and it's touch-screen too. The sensitivity of the touch-screen is perhaps as good as an Apple.

There's more...

I'm sure many would argue that the iPhone 3GS, HTC Touch Pro 2 and Nokia N97 should be on the list. I don't disagree but I haven't tested it so... You get what I mean.
