How often do you wake up to a makeover? Yes, makeover not hangover.

Dragging my tired butt out of bed - no thanks (but much appreciated) to the dinner at Pan Pacific the night before - the Nuffnang Blog Awards. First I made my way down to NUS to make the "delivery" then off I went to VivoCity for the launch of a new cosmetics range – ASH.

ASH does sound like an attractive name for a new product. It's catchy and kinda kewl. But ASH isn't exactly your typical cosmetics, in fact, it isn't even cosmetics at all - well, not one that you would use at least. Instead it's a new initiative to make female smokers feel VERY depressed, an initiative by the Health Promotion Board as part of its Fresh Air For Women (FAFW) programme. And yes, the cosmetics are made of ASH, literally.

So no, you can't buy ASH off the shelves and you won't want to either. It's ASH inside and out, even the smell.

What's the point of this (the campaign that is)? Well, if you're not willing to use ASH externally why allow it to be absorbed by your body? It's six of one, half a dozen of the other, really.

I'm a smoker myself, and seeing this laid down before me really got me thinking. I've been proud of my youthful looks and "good skin" since my looks stopped ageing but numbers continued. Am I willing to give it up for an excuse to "relax" and "relief stress"? Is it worth it?

PS: More photos to be posted, currently still downloading them...
