Almost two months ago, Glenn from Ogilvy called and invited me to a Canon event held at the beautiful restaurant at One Fullerton, called Pierside Kitchen & Bar.

Details are blurry, it's been some time. If not mistaken, the purpose had something to do with an instant, portable, photo printer (Canon Selphy, I think), and tips on food photography.
For part one, there will only be photos. The photos I took during the event, following the tips, using my Canon PowerShot E1 (yes, the pink coloured one - I own two of them). And here they are (some of it that is):

The food was pretty good. A treat for all of us.
In the meantime, while I find the press release for the event, check this YouTube clip:
PS: If, and only if, I'm able to find the press release, will there be a part two. Will also include the tips then.

It took me close to 3 hours to put together the design and code the stylesheet, function template page template file and everything else that went with it. But it's ready now. Well, ready to view at least.

wow i really loved watching this video it was great. There is so much more to it than just taking pictures of food. They have to make sure that everything is perfect and looks good, they have to have the right lighting to each dish and there are so many specifics to it. I consider it an art to be able to photograph food and bring it to life.
