Friends are not always forever, but for as long as they can remain friends, there's always a need to maintain the friendship. Otherwise, like relationships, you grow apart.

I've always liked gatherings, not all but most, especially those where people close gets to gather and enjoy the moment. Birthday gatherings are the best, it's always joyous even if some are unhappy the birthday girl or boy will definitely be happy. And why wouldn't they? Showered with gifts and blessings.

Details are blurry, so let's go through the photos step by step and figure it out on the way. First, John started playing with his Canon 450D and started taking photos of the décor at Soup Restaurant, Suntec.

Then everyone else.

(There are more photos of course, I just didn't save them all from Facebook.)

I was one of the unfortunate victims that had... well... a candid shot taken that didn't look too pleasing.

(Should see the non-Photoshop-ed version - one word, "horrid" - not his photography but me.)

This is John.

I wanted to join in...

But, how can a Panasonic Lumix LX3 compete with a DSLR? There's no competition really.

Slowly, but surely, I faded into the background.

I got to play with it (the DSLR) for a bit, and took photos of some pointless stuff.

That's kinda what triggered my cravings, and it hit me hard, real hard - which explains why I have a Canon 500D now.

John is always the host.

He always makes the orders (as far as I can recall at least). There's no particular reason I reckon, it just happens that way.

Here's the selection.

They seem to really like fish. They always seem to order quite a bit during occasions like such.

This is a birthday lunch gathering, so there's always a cake.

A photo-taking-with-cake ceremony.

A cutting cake ceremony.

A cake distribution ceremony.

And... eating the cake!

Not a ceremony, but something not to be left out. It's all part of tradition really. No birthday can conclude without the above. Period.

Presents were given out after we all filled out tummies, I think. Otherwise it's during one part of the cake ceremony. There's no photos, so I can't really be sure which is which. No matter, presents were given that's for sure.

Before we all went our separated ways, we all took a group photo!

I'm right at the back, in the middle. You'd probably only be able to see my head.

Now to present you the back of my previous BlackBerry Bold!

Crystals now covers the name. A total of 89 crystals if not mistaken.

The end.
