Today was a good day (or rather yesterday was), peaceful yet well lived if I do say so myself. Even though it wasn't filled with activities and extraordinary events, its simplicity was well felt from within the heart.

The day started with no drilling, no disconnection by StarHub's wireless, and a simple plate of maggie mee that I cooked myself. Nothing out of the ordinary, just peaceful and well.

I'm pleased with myself really. I managed to complete my essay with time to spare, I got a job offer (three months “internship”) that didn't require me to go to the office (the pay is not worth mentioning though), Miki recovered from her supposedly illness that wasn't that deadly at all, I got to watch some TV and the last episode of The Four (which was very much disappointing), I got a new lens (from Teddybear cause he got a new one) and a cleaning kit for my Canon 500D, and I completed the “advertorial” (a mini-post to be exact).

Without my maid around, food was a major setback (not to mention laundry and such). But today, though brunch was “home-made”, dinner was pretty pleasant and pretty cheap. I prefer not to eat at food courts but today I made an exception. The bear has been spending quite a bit these days with his new photography hobby. Within a month, he got a Canon 500D (same as me), two lenses - Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II and Canon EF 24-10 f/4L IS USM - both with filters, a dry cabinet, a Donkey camera bag, etc. And lets not forget, we're going Penang this Friday.

For clarification sake, I don't despise food courts (can't say the same for hawker centres though), I just prefer being served, which also explains why I'm not fond of buffets either (unless it's a group gathering thingie). When food is served, the display tends to be more appealing. I have the habit of taking photos of whatever I eat. With poor presentation of the dish means poor photos (I consider myself an “alright” food photographer). And we, more specifically, I would prefer pretty photos. Wouldn't you?

I repeat once again, today was a good day. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better!
