I grew up watching Disney cartoons. My favourite, no doubt, were the fairy tale princess ones. It explains why my blog is my fairy tale (with castle and all) and why I'm Princessa (short for Princess Sabrina, which also means Princess in various other languages). Joining the family of Disney's royal princesses, we have Tiana - peasant by birth, princess by fate.

But before I tell you about this girl, all if not most of you have probably heard of the classic tale “Princess and the Frog”. It's a story about a king who had seven daughters. The youngest princess was perhaps the most delightful of them all. She liked to play in the palace garden with her favourite golden ball.
One day, while she was playing with her favourite golden ball, she accidentally tossed it too far and it sank to the bottom of the pond. She started crying and to her rescue, a frog appeared.
This was no ordinary frog, it could speak - question and answer. The frog made an agreement with the princess. It would retrieve the ball if she promises to kiss him after (or something along the lines). The princess didn't exactly think it through and agreed to it happily. With her consent, the frog jumped into the pond and retrieve the golden ball.
As sweet and delightful as the princess may be, she is a princess after all. Upon receiving her favourite toy, she quickly forgotten the agreement and returned to the castle happily.
The next day, the frog came to visit the princess. Unwillingly, but pursued by her father, she kept her word and with her kiss the frog turned into a handsome prince. The prince then explained that his evil witch had turned him into a frog and the kiss broke the spell. There after, the princess and prince were married and lived happily ever after.

This fairy tale princess story, is somewhat a “re-make” of the Princess and the Frog, but like no other. It's a classic tale with an interesting-modern twist. The princess wasn't a princess, but the frog was indeed a prince - a flirtatious one if I may add.

The story was set in the city of New Orleans, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana, a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on an adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.

In this story, you not only see the reality of life in times where prince and princess exist, you experience friendship, romance, mystically power from the beyond, and ultimately, happily ever after with a lesson to learn.

In life, even if you were born with a silver spoon, without hardwork, friendship, faith and love, even with all the riches in the world, you might not be happy-happy.

And of course, doing the right thing may not end you with riches but it will likely end with smiles and joy.
