You don't really need to know your history, but you do need to know the rules of the game to excel in this board game. Money is everything, same goes for "property" and the Merlion.

I've talked about this board game previously, and like before, I'm not going into too much detail as not to make myself sound too geeky (will leave that for my gaming blog, which I'm trying to update as often as I can).

It's the launch of Journal Singapore, and yes, I was there.

And yes, it was held at the Mint Museum.

Which is directly opposite Raffles Hotel Singapore.

To be frank, I seriously wouldn't have gone if not for Priss (well, I have played the game before already).

And a couple of others, which includes Eugene of course.

Eugene is the guy in black. I swear he's trying to pick up that lady! *Joke*

Like all launches, this one had it's hand of media people crowding the premises. And being late, as usual (thinking that everyone else would be late), by the time I got there everyone were in groups playing the game already. There won't many bloggers, the only that I actually recognised was DK, but I knew he would be there already (we were "discussing" about it through email and he SMS-ed me hurrying me over).

Basically, we were not mingling around. Not with the new faces at least. Priss and I kinda kept to our group, with two others from SPH (they were late too). While Priss played the board game, I took out my guns (camera) and started my trigger-happy ways.

Watch and learn people, watch and learn.

Here's the board game.

(Ignore the Pokka tea, it's not essential in the game.)

Here's Priss's...

Tattoo!

And the character she's using to play.

I convinced her that she needed the bear's character (the one he used previously) cause it sooo absolutely rocked!

The guy on the right is "instructed" to explain the game play.

Check out IZ's super huge gun (video camera), it's like... WOW! He's sooo stern when he's working. Sadly... he works for a... *ahem* production company. DK and I were like tag team-ing, going on and on about his "direction". Apparently he's blog is quite NC16/M18 these days. Whatever works eh? (I'm kidding of course, totally. No seriously! Or not.)

I'm waaay off track.

Okay, Priss lost the game. Not miserably, but she still lost...

That's that. The end. We left shortly after - first to dinner then to Priss's place for singing practice - her singing practice for her grandparent's 50th anniversary but that's another story.

To conclude, I actually do like this game. I like being able to terminate players and making things different for them. LoLx. I'm serious. I don't play to win, I play for laughs.
