Every since the bear appeared out of nowhere, I find myself very de-"ching chong"-fied. I hardly speak the language (well, I never really did to begin with), I hardly listen to Chinese songs (I do I do listen to Chinese lovey dovey songs), and... well... I hardly hang out with the ching chong bunch anymore (not that I ever did, well... hardly). So anyway, it's nice to have company to watch the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010, which was TOTALLY in the world of the ching chong citizens. English is not an option. I do not mean this in a bad way of course...

There's a downside to everything, I missed out on an awesome dinner party (I think). So, yes, you can't get the best of both worlds unlike Hannah Montana, which is just a TV show.

So, I got all dressed up (for no god damn reason cause I know it's an outdoor event but I wanted to anyway) and off I went to Marina Square to pick up the tickets from Alvin (yes, that Alvin, you know...). So blah blah blah, coffee and we walked over to the float. I should add that I have never been to "the float" before. There were opportunities, I just never captured it.

It was there that I started regretting being such a vain pot. If I were a snow-princess-girl, I would have literally MELTED.

The whole "rain but didn't rain" feeling wasn't too pleasing either. Having rain would really cool it off, but it would totally ruin the outfit and I'd be wet... and boy do I not wanna get wet. I get sick really easily.

Okay so George was there, which was great cause it meant I wasn't alone. And Jacelyn was there with her friend who happens to be a blogger too (but I don't know him personally)... AND Andy was there (the ANdyStorm) with his little boyfriend! Yes, boyfriend hohoho. Okay, it's not really his boyfriend but it's amusing when I say that and he blushes. I don't have a brother you see, it's amusing though childish. My actions are sooo childish.

I sooo tweet-ed it and he saw it and well...

"OMG. Finally saw @SabrinaSG's husband in real life! Har? What you mean by you don't know she's married? The news is so last year! :D" says Andy.

Unlike him, I don't panic under such remark. And who would believe him? Plus, it really wouldn't have hurt me in anyway. So I have a hubby, so he says, who cares? Haha. It's just for laughs, we're not arguing or hating each other (at least not on my end). Andy is a adorable little boy, I would love to have a brother like that. It would totally brighten my day. Plus he blogs, unlike my sisters, so he understands, you know.

It seriously looked as if it was gonna rain so George, the nice person he is, went all the way back to the entrance to get the complimentary raincoats that we kinda didn't bother taking when we entered. He's sooo sweet really, a perfect gentleman.

The bear would have not bothered. Then again, I would have to chain him up and drag him there. He would have NEVER gone for such an event.

The crowd came in slowly, or you could say we were a little early. Just to add, George had friends there too. She seems nice, his singing counterpart. They would have sooo made it through the singing contest. Pity really, otherwise I would have another celebrity friend.

I have to say, the dance performance didn't amuse me the slightest bit. It's okay... but kinda looked like the singapore workout routine or something. What can I say, I watch too much MTV. I have high expectations of everything, and they just didn't make the mark, my mark.

Who was there you ask?

I was sooo hoping that Xiao Zhu would be there, but he wasn't. I sooo love him. I would die to have a date with him. These days I am sooo totally smitten by numerous actors. I watch too much TV, waaay too much.

My favourites? Olivia ONG (yes she shares my surname) and By2. Those two girls are just adorable! Ever since their mini performance during Sketches launch I was totally rallying for them. Their twins, they dance and they sing - pretty well if I may add. Major plus point, their blogs are on Omy.sg! I'm there too but I haven't been blogging there much lately - once things settle I'll make my comeback for sure!

I didn't stay till the very end. It got a little... you know... the fact that we were sooo far from the stage was kinda a bummer. I was really hoping for good seats. In fact, I kinda thought the seats were gonna be awesome that's why I didn't drag along my DSLR and long lens. And it explains why I do not have good photos to post.

Nonetheless, Alvin is a doll for getting me those tickets and I heart Omy. Read my live tweets then and yes, FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER!

The Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010 was organised by Singapore Press Holdings' Chinese media Lianhe Wanbao, Radio 100.3, Omy.sg and UW (U-Weekly).

Before I say goodnight to all, here something I found on Crystal's blog!

And yes, that is George's little head in the photo. Well, at least one of us got their photos taken during the event ;x .
