It would have been great if Cathay Pacific sent the SMS like 30 minutes earlier. They didn't, and I was standing below my block by the time I was notified the flight was delayed for 2 hours.

All was good, it's just 2 hours. At least that's what I was telling myself.
So instead of heading to the airport right after they picked me up, we went for breakfast at Compass Point. I never wake up early enough for breakfast, well, not in the last couple of months that is.
By 10am, we were at the Terminal 1 (yes, Changi Airport) all set for take off. Well, almost all set.

We chilled at Dome Cafe for a bit, just to straighten stuff out and grab a latte.

And yes, I tweeted away as if there was no tomorrow.
We were given vouchers by Cathay Pacific for complimentary lunch - SGD7 for food and a can drink - for the flight delay.
The selections were limited and totally expensive. I would NEVER buy chicken rice in Singapore for SGD7 unless it's like totally recommended. Then again, I never really fancied chicken rice.
After the not-really-that-horrible meal (it was bad, just not "that" bad)... just to have something to post on my blog, I took a couple of photos! (I'm loving the Olympus E-PL1 - mine is white.)

The pink t-shirt/dress is from Tokyo Pink and the jacket is Pull and Bear. It's my favourite jacket, and yes, they don't exactly match.
I can't explain why I keep forgetting to change US dollars. Even though I was standing right in front of the money changer. My brain just keep doing calculations on how much I'm losing out: 1.36 buying, 1.42 selling.
By the end of it, I found myself still stuck with only USD10. The 10 that Cathy gave me back in 2007? Tsk.
Fyi, we totally had to make a run for the gate. Despite being totally early, we managed to "hang around" for the longest time we could imagine and only got to the gate 3 minutes before it closed.
PS: The worst happened, but you'll have to find out in the next entry. In case you're wondering, the flight was on May 28. This is kinda a post-entry.
PPS: It's 4+am right now, I should sooo be sleeping. Gonna watch the latest episode of Naruto and Kaichou wa Maid-sama then hit the sacks.
PPPS: Yes, New York City is in the United States of America (USA).
