In terms of sports... let's just say it's not exactly my thing. Despite previously being a competitive figure skater, I'm the least "active" person you'd ever find. And running around... hell no.

That said, with Priss as a motivating factor, you'd be surprise how far I would go, even if I have to suffer under the scorching sun for hours!

Walking up and down of Orchard on a hunt to "accurately" take photos with items written on a cardboard list, is seriously no joke. I swear I was ready to grab a cab there and then and leave!

Damn you red Ferrari!

Yes, one of the quests was to search for a red Ferrari.

I've seen red Ferraris around, more than one would expect to. But, it's still not like your every Toyota. Thank god they weren't specific about wanting it in full size with a running engine. A red toy Ferrari is still a red Ferrari.

Completing six tasks in the first half an hour was somewhat an achievement for me. We figured we were probably in the lead and wanted to take a break. Before we went ahead with the "let's take a break" plan, we walked passed another team and overheard them saying they completed six too! Shocked and eager to win, we pushed forward... tired.

Towards the end of the race, it became a rush for time. Quite a few setbacks, mainly the "Finest Supermarket" quest. I blame it on over confidence, named Priscilla Lee.

Disappointed with our placing, the worst was yet to come.

If time could roll back and I knew what I now know, I would have rejected this "invitation" to participate. It was a hell load of fun, but certain "things" could not be overlooked.

I may be a bitch but I'm far from a hypocrite. (If you know, you know, if you don't know what I mean, too bad.)

That "setback" aside, this "Amazing Race" experience given to me by Laurier was truly remarkable. Not only did it give me an opportunity to hang out with my best friend, I stepped out of my comfort zone and did things "out of the norm".

It's hard to find the time and motivation to really have some real outdoor fun. With SGD5,000 as the prize and Priss as my teammate, it gave just the right amount of motivation.

I wonder when will I have another opportunity like that again. Anyone up for round two? Isabelle perhaps?

"I'm a shooting star!"

Team 58!

PS: Photos to be uploaded on a later date. Entry written with my iPad.
