Ugly Betty's new found love?

Daniel and Betty are sooo gonna look like a weird couple. I mean, she's Betty. Daniel has a history of dating just beautiful women. It's just quite unimaginable.
I've always thought that the series would eventually lead to Betty becoming very fashionable, but I really didn't expect that Daniel would...
Fyi, that deep green, one-shoulder dress she wore to her sister Hilda's wedding is totally fab. Personally, I would prefer it in another colour. That said, I have a thing for green (and toga dresses) lately. It's probably Christmas.

My sister happens to be a big fan of the series and because of that I was influenced into watching it with her. She was very happy when I explained that Daniel is falling for Betty. She even calls her Betty jiejie and asks my gf to be more like Betty. It's so adorable.

Betty is like that girl that wasn't much and became more. It's how the story wanted to position her in the very beginning. The turn of events on Daniel's end however is quite surprising for me. I had expected small hints first before the absolute obvious.

Yes!!! If it were a little more subtle, then slowly build it up... I might be able to digest it better. Then again, I haven't been religiously following the series. Might have missed those parts with the hints?

I don't think it's that surprising, this kind of scenario has been played in so many drama series/movies.
Betty isn't that ugly but she still doesn't fall into the super model type that Daniel dates.
Don't think it's the colour that makes her look better than usual. It's the fitting of the dress and how she wears it.

It's true it's been played many times, but I've always imagined it to be more of ugly girl turns fab and makes it big in the fashion industry, rather than a romantic happy ending to it. Not that it's ending yet...

It's not about ger being ugly but her not being the model-type. And yes, I think she looks great in this dress, colour aside.
