Disclaimer: Mind you, I do not intend to get married anytime soon. I just happened to chance upon the article and somewhat “fell in love” with the colours (not all of it that is). I mean, you can also use these colours for everyday. It need not just be for weddings.

I don't know much about weddings, since I never get invited to any (stretching the truth here a little). Either that or my friends are just unwilling to tie the knot (the guys tend to wanna get married more than the girls). Come to think of it... that's probably the case. Most of my close friends are, sadly, still single. Then again, I'm really not that old and I guess I don't have that many friends after all.

Anyway, I do however know what interests me. And the shade of royalty and pink is it!

According to BRIDEfinds, "The 6 Best Wedding Day Nail Polish Colours" (this is a 2011 article btw, and I don't actually like all the colours) includes:

Chanel's Lilac Sky, USD23

This image happens to be what caught my attention and drove me to explore the article. The combination of Chanel and ... purple, reminds me of Cel actually. I'm a fan of Chanel but not so big on purple. That said, as an everyday wear for those with no specific colour preference, this would do fine. The colour isn't too outstanding but yet enough to give a feminine touch.

Essie's Blushing Bride, USD8

It is said that this was made with brides in mind. However, with the light shade of pink, as an everyday wear it works too! Plus it to goes well with a variety of skin tones. I have a thing for pink.

Yves Saint Laurent's LaLaque Nail Polish in Tuxedo Gray, USD20

Like the colour of the tuxedo, this colour would definitely allow you, or rather your nails, stand out in a crowd. But I wouldn't really consider this as an appropriate everyday wear. The colour isn't thoughtless. Imagine this with apparel in a pale shade...

Nars nail polish in Versailles, USD16

Gold is one of my favourite colours - the whole royalty within (read my blog description). That said, it still isn't one of those colours you would want to put on and go.

Dior Vernis Nail Enamel (Nordstrom Exclusive), USD21

The combination of Dior and pink just drive me gaga. As an everyday use, it drives to showcase a woman's femininity, regardless the occasion. But of course, if you're a black Lolita fan, this is probably not gonna be your pick.

Sephora by OPI's How Many Carats?, USD9

I've always like red but this is just going overboard. I'm guessing, during a wedding I can still accept the bride wearing it (depending on the gown of course) but generally, it's a big no-no for me. Nothing personal, well... okay, it's all personally. It's a little too... you know.
