After months of "talk" about revamping my totally overdue blog layout, last night I decided to just DO IT!

It took me close to 3 hours to put together the design and code the stylesheet, function template page template file and everything else that went with it. But it's ready now. Well, ready to view at least.

A lot more work still needs to be done, but for now, it's considerably presentable.

I did this from scratch, with some inspiration from Xiaxue's, Veron's and Katrina's blog. The Photoshop-ed image of me is by Anthony (aka AG), Creative Director of Gadget3 magazine.

The changes expected to be seen in the near future includes additional graphics similar to the one I did for the gallery header. Also, after I lose a couple of pounds and go for a professional make-over photoshoot, I'll be adding more images of myself to the header - rotation that is - JavaScript FTW!

I've decided to drop the flash header altogether. Reason being, it speeds up the loading process of my blog. Plus, it makes it easier to load on mobile phones/devices, especially since many do not support flash yet, apart from HTC Hero that is.

Based on the previous poll, I understand that 47% actually prefer the old design and hates the new one. Despite the number, I still find my decision to change, one that I would stick with.

It's been more than a year since I've revamped my blog and I'm pretty tired of the old look. The whole Hello Kitty gown is getting pretty dull - don't like being called Hello Kitty either, even though, admittedly, I fancy Hello Kitty.

Change is good. And with all the changes happening in my life, my blog should change too.

Pink is still in. It will be for now, and forever more.
