People give me "that look" whenever they see me taking out both of my phones - one being the BB (BlackBerry). Eventually, they'd stop holding back and ask, "why do you have two phones?" Some even considers me a traitor, but really... who cares?

I've always resented being a follower of trend. I refuse to be devoured by branding and status. But as time went by, the resistance drew thin, eventually I caved, and now I live as a slave. I'm not just a follower, I'm a believer. It's irritating (so to speak) but true.

We have Dato Loke Wan Tho to thank for The Cathay really. A venue that has been entertaining generations of Singaporeans for over say... 70 years? Admittedly, before the reopening of The Cathay in 2006, I've never been to the building despite the fact I have numerous classes at Dhoby Ghaut (I'm not as young as I use to be 10 years ago...).

These days blogging isn't about sitting down at a computer/notebook and typing down ones' thoughts. These days it's about interactivity, communication. It is no longer a journal of ones' thoughts and memories, it's about being part of the world around you.

During the meeting with the executives from Dell, I mentioned that the direction for my blog was to go journal-style. To record the amazing memories of my life as a self-proclaimed Princess, then move on to publishing a book.

Looking at how things are going, it's probably just another far-fetched dream of mine. It's not that I can't manage to write a book or anything, but my life just isn't just as thrilling as I hoped it would be - reading back my old entries that is. Another thing that added to it is that, a blog just can't translate well journal-style. If I forcefully wrote it the way a journal should be, I'd probably lose my readership, not that there's that much to begin with. Oh no, I'm starting to boost like you-know-who. I should stop.
