There are many things about blogging really, I just suddenly thought of...

I was doing a quick check on all my one million and one blogs that I never update and kinda went through a couple of comments for one of my favourite blog (that I never update). It was dated back in 2009 (my last entry was in June 2010) and a pretty good comment it was really.

The concept of that blog was pretty decent I guess, I spent hours just coming up with the concept, developing the blog and skinning it. But at the end of it... I leave it empty. Same goes for the one million and one others.

That's the problem with me. I have a million ideas, concepts, etc but I just can't focus one long enough to see it flourish. There's also the whole, I write for a living and therefore find it unbearable to do it as a past time. That said, when one asks, "So, what hobbies do you have?" The first few things that comes to mind would be writing/blogging.

Get "the thing about blogging" yet? I haven't.

These days blogging isn't about sitting down at a computer/notebook and typing down ones' thoughts. These days it's about interactivity, communication. It is no longer a journal of ones' thoughts and memories, it's about being part of the world around you.

In fact, blogging isn't just writing on a "blog" anymore - there's Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, and etc. And that's where blogging's ideal mobile phones come in. Read the rest of this entry »

For the past 6 months or so, this is probably the first time ever that for almost 7 days straight, I didn't update my blog at all - not even a short update to say I'm not updating!

Wahahaha! I've finally recovered from the addiction. Now, if I continue blogging, it would no longer be a "need" but a "feel like it" again! Read the rest of this entry »

This is a weird topic, I know. I've wanted to write this for quite sometime but never really got down doing so.

For the last couple of days, I just can't seem to sit myself down and write a proper, constructive entry - and it's not that my life is boring.

It's kinda weird.

I mean, a lot is going on - there are like TONS of events. I feel like blogging about it, but I just can't seem to find an angle to what I want to blog about!

As a child I had many ambitions - a lawyer, a fashion designer, a singer, a writer, ...

It was very much later, after switching various majors, working for a while, and yes, BLOGGING, I finally decided - I wanted to be a writer!

Unfortunately, by the time I made this decision, it was a little too late to switch to the right education path - I was no longer a teenager.

With the qualifications I have obtained so far, I tried applying to numerous publications, both print and online. Some granted me an interview, but none actually offered me the job.

In June, I was finally offered a writer's position at 88DB Lifestyle. I was rather excited about it in the beginning, but the enthusism weared off after some time. Read the rest of this entry »
