Having to reformat my MBP (MacBook Pro) over the Chinese New Year - new year, new start; they say - I have only but my MBA (not Masters in BA but MacBook Air) to accompany me through this "giving" festive season - which limits me from accessing feeds that I've sync-ed to my MBP, my MBA is new you see.

Thankfully, I or rather we (should all) have Twitter.

Twitter isn't just a place where I rant my unhappiness in 140 characters and ignore those who try to give me "good advise", it's a place where I get my first hand updates on the world; which mainly consist of fashion, friends, gossip, etc - no, no world peace sorry.

And we have our good ol' Google, which "inspired" me to write this entry.

Technically, I'm categorising this entry incorrectly. It's not a geek entry, in fact, it should be fashion! Why? Cause the only reason why someone would buy Apple is cause they are followers of the brand. Hurhur. I'm just kidding.

So, I got my Air and I'm installing all the nonsense a web designer/developer should. Why? Sadly, I'm forced to pickup my old hobby once again. And to think I've gotten over that phase. Tsk.

So what has this got to do with the Air? Well, obviously I'm not using this as my primary design/development equipment. It's for mobility, mainly. I don't want to rush home just to do some minor configuration. Yes I drive, but the MBP (MacBook Pro) is still not a device I wanna carry around everywhere I go. Read the rest of this entry »

After going Mac, I really never went back. Even though being an Apple fan has restricted the number of games I get to play (mainly the free-to-play MMORPGs), for instance, Rappelz - been wanting to play it since I read Sheylara's advertorial on it. Fortunately, there are still games out there such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2, etc that are Mac-enabled.

Anyway. I've always had the impression that the Mac was waaay faster than the PC in terms of booting up. And frankly speaking, it really used to be. However, in the recent days, my Mac (MacBook Pro) is really starting to slow down significantly and it's not just booting up but practically every single form of processing.

To find the solution for my problem, I did a little Googling and found a list that somewhat explains why your Mac (or rather my Mac) is slowing down. Overdue is correct, very much overdue in fact. Reading Jayden's blog, I felt I really need to jot this down so in the future I can look back and say, "yup yup, that was one awesome dinner!"

Back in March, Arnold aka Mr.Gadget dropped by Singapore and the Nuffnang folks organised a dinner at Pasta Inc for us to get together and catch up.

All is lost, but not in vain. At least I'm not wasting the night away but doing something progressive?

It's about time I started taking a step forward. It's about time I started thinking of the future. It's time I started doing something worthwhile. It's time I started doing something more than just sitting around hoping for something to happen. It's time I started creating something... anything... for myself!

I have a lot in my mind right now, and I do so very much want to pour it all out to lighten the load on my brain's processor. Sadly, the more I try to form words, the less sense it seems to make. I just can't seem to be able to construct my thought into proper words that another might read and understand. There's just too much argument in my subconscious mind.
