I never fancied rushing to complete a blog entry, especially when it involves posting of numerous photos that required a heavy dose of editing. It's not just colour correction we're talking about here, there's sharpening, Liquify, framing, Lomo effect, etc. It's a lot of work and I have a certain standard I hope to achieve. The sad truth however, is that I've never really managed to achieve these supposed standards. Usually halfway through the process, I get tired of editing and decide to just get over and done with it - this is why I am usually not keen in creative entries competition.

That said, despite the tight time-frame given, and the huge amount of workload (at work) I'm juggling to manage, for the sake of my dear best friend Priss that has put in a lot of effort to complete her entry (and hopefully win the trip), I shall do my best (even though my best meant rushing it on a Wednesday evening when the deadline is Thursday morning)! Truth be told, when the girls said "staycation" I was a little puzzled by the term. But soon enough, through conversation, I figured out what it meant. I know, so much for being a writer eh. This explains why I'm not good at certain games, such as Charadium (some iPhone game app).

My hair is like my pride and joy, it has to be long even though deep down I know the length is somewhat the root to my hair problems. It all started 15 years ago during a trip abroad with my family. We were at this delightful hotel in the outskirts of the city. I can't really remember where exactly this was but I recall the fateful incident that totally changed my perception of hair length and of course, my dressing.

My sisters and I were in some shop at the hotel lobby, looking at butterfly pressings. They had this huge selection on display; if we hadn't known better, we'd have thought we were in a butterfly museum if something like that even exists. Everything on display was purchasable and I had my eyes on one. I intended to purchase it if not for the response the sales girl gave.

I vaguely recall how the conversation started, but it eventually took a turn for the worse. I was young then, and pretty much heartbroken after. Read the rest of this entry »

Before we headed to Milly's, we were individually invited to Canon's event which I have yet blogged about. Reason being, I still haven't received the photos. Anyway, that's another story for another time.

Now, Milly's manicure services were excellent. The experience was pleasant and the results were the best ever. And I've clocked a reasonable number of manicure trips since I embraced myself with manicures. Have to thank Priss, if not for her, I would still be nail-polish-less. Read the rest of this entry »
