Christmas Tree Special #1 (2008 Edition): The Atrium of Takashimaya


The Christmas tree is one of the most popular traditions associated with the celebration of Christmas. The custom can be traced to 16th century Germany, though the sole origin for the tradition could not be identified.

During the days around Christmas, an evergreen coniferous tree is used as the Christmas tree and is decorated with Christmas lights and colourful ornaments. An angel or star is often placed at the top of the tree, representing the host of angels or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity story.

The first Christmas tree for this segment was spotted at the Atrium of Takashimaya on December 6th.

I can't exactly remember what time I woke up that Saturday morning, but I do remember...
